It has been such a busy time these last two months that I have not been able to get in here and leave the usual commentary.
Go With The Flow
Life can do that to you sometimes and you just have to go with the flow - even if it is flat out! Thankfully we now face the Xmas season a chance to slow down and reflect on the year past and the year ahead.
I encourage you to take advantage of this time by spending it with family and friends. Reflect on the reasons why we work so hard and have dreams of a better life for ourselves and our families.
To make changes in life requires motivation and maybe yours lies in your family, your health your sanity?
What Motivates You
Without a strong basis for what we do we fall back into the general 9-5 mentality of the majority of people - the stifling mundane plod!
My Petrolhead PassionXmas and New Year are a time to review what has been - your successes and challenges. Don't dismiss the challenges - it is often in these that our biggest growth arrives! Challenges help us focus what it is we really want out of life - they bring the hammer to the nail - and wham you realise what it is you want or don't want!
The Organic GardenXmas for us will be all about family - we are spending time with all the branches of the family over the last three weeks of December. Two Xmas dinners and celebrations are required to get through all the family! I know it's tough - but someone has to do it!

The Family
Did I tell You I Resigned
This month was a special point in my journey - I gave in my notice of termination - I gave plenty of warning to my bosses that I wish to cease working for them in 2010!
This marks the end of 29 years of being employed as a teacher by the government system.
This has been a major goal for me since starting my journey in
wealth creation.
How have I done this? Well I discovered some passions and interests that I have been able to turn into an income source - I have also opened my mind to other opportunities to use my skills!
Mentors
I wish to mention a couple of important people in this journey - obviously Jamie McIntyre started this adventure for me with his book
"What I didn't Learn At School But Wish I Had". Funny really when you consider the thousands of kids I have taught in the last 3 decades. This is why I picked the book up - it got my attention!
The second more important influence came from my friend and mentor -
Sean Rasmussen Sean guided me through the early days working in Jamie's program and we have spent time together from Fiji to Perth! Also not forgetting his lovely wife Cherie who has such a great sense of fun for life and a huge love for family that had an important impact on my priorities and motivation.

Sean is a man of principle and the most reliable friend you can have. I have learned more than just wealth creation strategies from him. Through the ups and downs of the last 12 months I have learned the importance of being true to yourself and honourable to your friends and associates. Sean has a heart as big as the great state of WA!
Thank-you Sean for all your support and friendship - I look forward to 2010 and time we can spend together with our families and common friends!
If you have big plans for 2010 then get a mentor, a journeyman, a spirit guide - someone to help you on the journey - the task is so much easier when you have a companion!
Merry Xmas and A Happy New Year
Well that brings me to the end of my message today. I wish you all the best for this holiday season - be safe, enjoy you time with family and friends.
Spend a few quiet moments thinking of your year past and the new one before you!
Let me say that writing a list of wishes and aspirations for 2010 would be a good starting point for your future.
Maybe you should go back and read Jamie's book again or replay the DVD - not for me but for you!
Merry Xmas and best wishes to you
John
